Sarlahi: A 17-year-old boy drowned in a pit created by a crusher on the banks of the Phuljor River in Sarlahi district.
Nishant Thapamgar, a resident of Ishworpur Municipality-4, Sagarnath, was swimming with friends on Saturday afternoon when the tragedy occurred. He drowned in a large hole dug by a crusher on the land of resident Mangal Mahato.
Despite an immediate search, the police were unable to locate his body. The Armed Police Force Nepal No. 2 Chinnamasta Bahini headquarters, with the assistance of a diving team, eventually recovered the body from Mahottari.
The body has been kept at Malangwa Provincial Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and the Sarlahi District Police Office is conducting further investigations into the incident.
