PM Oli Departs for Four-Day Official Visit to China

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has departed for a four-day official visit to China.

The delegation led by Prime Minister Oli left for Beijing, the capital of China, today at the friendly invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang.

Prime Minister Oli departed for China on a special chartered flight of Himalaya Airlines at 11:00 AM. His team is expected to arrive in Beijing at 6:10 PM.

During the visit, on December 3, Chinese counterpart Li Qiang will welcome Prime Minister Oli. This will be followed by bilateral talks and a signing ceremony. On the same day, Prime Minister Oli will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping and also have discussions with Zhao Leji, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China.

On December 4, Prime Minister Oli will deliver a keynote speech at Peking University and address the Nepal-China Business Forum organized jointly by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. On the same day, he is scheduled to visit a museum.

Prime Minister Oli will return to Nepal on December 5 at 2:30 PM.

The delegation for the visit comprises 78 members, including 46 from the government sector and 32 from the private sector.
