Kathmandu Gets Soaked

Kathmandu residents woke up to wet weather this morning, with rain and strong winds lashing most parts of the city.

Meteorologist Meenkumar Aryal reported widespread rainfall accompanied by strong winds across the Kathmandu Valley, including Budhanilkantha, Sundarijal, Dhap Dam, and Shivpuri. He noted that Sundarijal received the heaviest downpour.

The Department of Water and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division predicts continued rain for the next two days, primarily affecting the northern region of the valley.

Furthermore, Aryal warned of the possibility of heavy rain tonight in isolated areas of Bagmati, Koshi, and Madhesh provinces.

According to the Department of Water and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division, local winds are believed to be the cause of the current wet and windy conditions.
