In a thrilling semi-final match, Sangrila Morang FA secured their spot in the finals of the 8th Birat Gold Cup with a sudden death win over the Armed Police Force’s APF. The match, held Wednesday night at Shaheed Stadium in Biratnagar, remained scoreless after both regular time and an additional 30 minutes of extra time.

APF reached the semi-finals after defeating Itahari Gold Cup champion Church Boys United Kathmandu 2-0. The home team Sangrila beat Bhutan’s RTCFC 3-2 to confirm their place in the semi-finals.

Goalkeeper Bishal Sunar, who performed impressively in Sangrila’s victory, neutralized more than half a dozen APF post-attacks in regular and extra time. He was declared the player of the match and received a cash prize of 11,000 rupees.
