BIRATNAGAR – The semi-finals of the 8th edition of the Birat Gold Cup football tournament in Biratnagar are set! Machhindra FC Kathmandu edged out Southern Samiti FC of Kolkata in a close 2-1 victory, with Stéphane Binong scoring twice for the winning side. Machhindra will now face Sikkim Dragon India for a coveted spot in the final.
Home team Sangrila Morang FA and Armed Police Force (APF) have also advanced to the semi-finals. Sangrila defeated RTCFC of Bhutan 3-2, while APF secured their place with a 2-0 victory over Church Boys United Kathmandu.
