Nepal Boxing Federation has honored four boxers with cash awards for their outstanding performance in various international competitions.
Chandrabahadur Thapa and Arpil Rana were recognized for winning medals, while Lalprasad Upreti and Anjani Theli were honored for their excellent performance.
Member-Secretary Ramchandra Mehta presented the boxers with cash awards ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 and appreciation letters.
Chandrabahadur Thapa won a bronze medal in the 54 kg category at the IBA World Men’s Boxing Championship in Dubai in 2025. Lalprasad Upreti reached the quarterfinals in the same championship.
Arpil Rana won a bronze medal in the 50 kg category at the Asian U-22 Boxing Championship in Thailand in 2025. Anjani Theli reached the quarterfinals in the 52 kg category at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championship in India in 2023.
Chandrabahadur received Rs 50,000, Arpil received Rs 20,000, and Lalprasad and Anjani received Rs 10,000 each, along with appreciation letters.
