INDIA Bloc to Hold Mega Protest on Monday Over CEC Gyanesh Kumar, Mamata Banerjee Extends Delhi Stay

The INDIA bloc is preparing to hold a major protest on Monday, sources said, as police action against demonstrations over Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar continued in Delhi on Saturday. The protests are linked to alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief and former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has decided to remain in the national capital to participate in the INDIA bloc’s planned protest. She changed her travel schedule and cancelled her planned return to Kolkata to join the demonstration.
