Dr. Anjan Shakya was officially sworn in as a member of Nepal’s National Assembly on Sunday. The oath of office and secrecy were administered by National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal in a ceremony at Singha Darbar.
Shakya’s nomination was made on April 18th [6th Baisakh] by President Ram Chandra Paudel, based on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
Following the oath, Speaker Dahal and other National Assembly members offered congratulations, along with staff from the Parliament Secretariat.
In her statement, MP Shakya pledged to work for the betterment of Nepal and uphold the dignity of the National Assembly. She stated, “I will dedicate my work to the country and the people, remaining loyal to my role. I will do any work to raise the dignity of the National Assembly.”
