The CPN-UML has wrapped up the selection process for its contenders in the forthcoming by-elections slated for April 24. In a closed-door session convened on Sunday, the party disclosed Suhang Nembang as its nominee for the Ilam Constituency-2. Suhang Nembang, who is the offspring of UML stalwart Subash Chandra Nembang, will vie for victory in the by-election. Subash Chandra Nembang triumphed in the general elections conducted on November 20, 2022, representing the same constituency.
