Euro 2024 Squads Number

Teams participating in the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024, scheduled for June and July in Germany, will be allowed to include up to 26 players in their squads. This represents an increase from the previous limit of 23 players.

The UEFA Executive Committee’s decision does not mandate a full 26-player squad, as teams may choose to register a minimum of 23 players. The final squad list, with jersey numbers assigned to each player (number 1 reserved for a goalkeeper), must be submitted to UEFA by June 7.

Player substitutions will be permitted only in cases of injury, with the condition that both the team doctor and UEFA Medical Committee doctor confirm the player’s inability to participate.
