Syangja District Administration Office has implemented a one-stop service system, which has made services such as citizenship, passport, and national identity card more efficient and organized.
According to Administrative Officer Surya Prasad Sharma, the office has rearranged its service structure, including a token system, allowing service recipients to obtain necessary documents, including citizenship certificates, within 20 to 30 minutes.
Under the new system, service recipients can complete all necessary procedures from a single service room after obtaining a token at the entrance. The office has also made arrangements for waiting halls, food and water, and free Wi-Fi for service recipients.
Streamlined Services
The office has made most services, including new citizenship, citizenship certificates, passport biometric registration and distribution, and national identity card biometric registration and distribution, available from a single floor.
A help desk has been set up at the office entrance, providing free online application, document verification, certification, and necessary consultation services for passports and national identity cards.
The office has also started providing free photocopy services for necessary documents related to its services.
Improved Efficiency
According to Deputy Subba Ram Prasad Paudel, the centralized citizenship information management system, implemented two years ago, has made the citizenship distribution process more convenient, as local-level details can be verified online.
The one-stop service system, led by Chief District Officer Nirajan Ghimire and Assistant Chief District Officer Prem Suvedi, has made the service flow faster, more transparent, and citizen-friendly, according to the office.
The administration aims to reduce the influence of middlemen, unnecessary hassles, and additional expenses by continuously improving services.
Service recipients have also responded positively to the new system, stating that they no longer have to wait in long lines, visit the office multiple times, or spend the whole day for a single task.
