The Samajwadi Morcha (Socialist Front), a coalition comprising five left-leaning political parties, has officially appointed Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ as its coordinator. The decision was reached during a morning meeting of the Front.
Leaders from the Maoist Centre, Janata Samajwadi Party, Unified Socialist, and the Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand Biplav were present at the meeting where this significant decision was made.
Previously, the member parties had collectively agreed to adopt a rotational leadership system. Notably, the Front was formerly led by Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, as well as Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal.
