Former England cricketer Ravi Bopara will play for Chitwan Rhinos in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), the team announced on social media.
The 41-year-old all-rounder has been contracted by the Rhinos for the third consecutive season. Bopara has played 494 T20 matches, scoring 9,948 runs and taking 292 wickets.
Bopara has played 13 Tests, 120 ODIs, and 38 T20Is for England. He is a skilled batsman who can play in both opening and middle-order positions.
In the first season of the NPL, Bopara was the second-highest run-scorer. In the second season, he scored 237 runs in seven matches, ranking sixth in the list of top run-scorers.
Bopara has also played in various franchise T20 leagues around the world, including the IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, and LPL. He has scored over 5,000 runs in the Vitality T20 Blast and The Hundred.
