Rastriya Swatantra Party to Monitor Attendance of Its Lawmakers in Parliament

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to analyze the attendance of its lawmakers in parliament, citing a growing trend of decreasing attendance and lawmakers leaving the meeting in the middle.

The RSP parliamentary party has started studying the attendance records of its lawmakers in recent meetings to maintain the dignity and effectiveness of parliament and to increase the sense of responsibility among lawmakers.

According to RSP chief whip Kavindra Burlakoti, the party will analyze the attendance records of its lawmakers in the meetings held on Ashar 30 and 31, and Shrawan 14, 18, and 22, 2083 BS. The responsibility of studying the attendance records has been given to party whips Prakash Chandra Pariyar and Krantishikha Dhital.

They will submit a report within seven days. Chief whip Burlakoti said that this initiative has been taken to make parliament disciplined, responsible, and effective, and to ensure the regular attendance of lawmakers.

After receiving the report, the parliamentary party will make necessary decisions based on it, the RSP said.
