Residents of certain areas in Nepal should prepare for weather changes today, as the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology has issued an alert. Due to the influence of western winds and localized wind patterns, hilly portions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are already experiencing fluctuations in weather conditions.
The report states there is a likelihood of light rain, thunderstorms, and even the chance of light snowfall in high hill and Himalayan regions within Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Areas within Koshi, Madhesh, and Lumbini provinces, and a few scattered places in the remaining provinces, may also experience thunderstorms.
The Division warns citizens to remain vigilant, as storms and lightning strikes are possible.
