A massive fire broke out in the Mahadeva Rural Municipality-1 Chimti area of Saptari district on Tuesday evening, destroying 110 houses and sheds. The fire started at approximately 5 pm, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Gajusiddhi Bajracharya of the District Police Office in Saptari.
Firefighters worked tirelessly for five hours before bringing the blaze under control at 10 pm. Six fire engines, over 100 security personnel, and residents were involved in the firefighting efforts.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
