Pokhara Avengers have signed Sri Lankan all-rounder Pothuwala Arachchige Dananjaya Lakshan for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) season 3.
Lakshan, a left-handed batter and right-arm medium-fast bowler, had previously played for Pokhara Avengers in NPL season 2, where he delivered an impressive performance.
The 27-year-old has represented Sri Lanka in international cricket, playing three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 70 T20 matches, taking 48 wickets.
Lakshan is an experienced player who has consistently performed well in domestic and franchise cricket tournaments.
In NPL season 2, he played a crucial role for Pokhara Avengers, making an impact with both bat and ball.
Pokhara Avengers have retained key players such as Kushal Bhurtel, Sagar Dhakal, Arjun Kumal, Vipin Khatri, Aakash Chand, Kiran Thagunna, and Dinesh Kharel for NPL season 3.
The team has also signed Vivian Rana Magar, Sudip Aryal, Sunny BK, Vipin Acharya, and Pratik Pokharel through auctions.
Earlier, Pokhara Avengers had signed Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan as their first foreign player.
The team’s head coach, Sri Lankan former international player Balapuwaduge Ajantha Winslow Mendis, has also been appointed.
