A 35-year-old man has died while undergoing treatment at a rehabilitation centre in Dhanusha, and one person has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Mojibul Rais, a resident of Ganesman Charnath Municipality-4, was taken to the Janakpur Provincial Hospital for treatment on the evening of Ashar 29, 2083, after falling ill at the Shubhechchha Foundation Rehabilitation Centre in Dhanushadhama Municipality-9.
According to the District Police Office in Dhanusha, Rais was pronounced dead by doctors at the hospital at around 6:15 pm.
Following reports that the centre’s operator, Nitesh Kumar Sah, had fled the hospital, police took control of the ambulance used to transport Rais to the hospital, along with its driver, 31-year-old Naresh Mandal, a resident of Dhanushadhama Municipality-8.
Police say they are investigating the rehabilitation centre and searching for Sah.
