Nepali film ‘Gounthali’ continues to make aggressive earnings. As of Sunday afternoon, the film’s total gross earnings have reached 19 crore 45 lakh rupees, which is 17 crore net collection. The film’s investment is 2 crore 75 lakh rupees.
Given that Sunday was a public holiday, it is estimated that the film’s earnings could reach 20 crore. So far, more than 7 lakh viewers have watched the film.
Until last Saturday, this film had surpassed the earnings of ‘Jari’, ‘Chhakka Panja 4’, and ‘Paran’. It is likely that the film will surpass ’12 Gaun’ (19 crore 92 lakh gross) by today or tomorrow. Prior to this, only ‘Kabaddi 4’ and ‘Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’ were the top-grossing Nepali films.
Producer Suman Giri stated that ‘Gounthali’ has also earned well in the diaspora. According to him, the film has earned 2 lakh American dollars in the US, 1 lakh Australian dollars in Australia, 50 thousand dirhams in Dubai, and 20 thousand euros in Denmark and Malta. Giri also announced that the film will be released in Canada from next Saturday.
