The Nepse index fell by 4.05 points to close at 2,650.09 on Friday, with a total turnover of Rs 3.77 billion.
A total of 334 companies’ shares were traded, with 46,912 transactions taking place. The sensitive index also fell by 1.16 points to 463.56.
Out of the 13 groups traded, only four groups saw an increase in their indices, while the remaining nine groups saw a decline. The life insurance group’s index fell by 0.31 percent, while the non-life insurance group’s index fell by 0.24 percent.
The others group’s index also fell by 0.14 percent, while the trade group’s index rose by 0.19 percent. The production and processing group’s index rose by 0.25 percent, while the microfinance group’s index rose by 0.01 percent.
The mutual fund group’s index rose by 0.52 percent. Atmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited’s investors earned a profit of 8.54 percent, while Upper Lohorekhola Hydro Power Company Limited’s investors lost 6.93 percent.
Solu Hydro Power Limited was the top traded company in terms of turnover, with a total turnover of Rs 392.55 million. MBL Equity Fund was the top traded company in terms of the number of shares traded, with 758,456 units traded.
