Based on the daily transactions from Shrawan 1 to 15, 15 people will win a cash prize of one lakh rupees each on Friday. Additionally, a bumper gift will be announced for all consumers who made purchases during this period, with one person winning a cash prize of 10 lakh rupees. However, Director General Bhusal noted that the prize money will be subject to taxes.
Finance Minister Dr. Wagle had announced the taxpayer incentive gift program in the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84 to encourage taxpayers. According to the program’s operational guidelines, gifts will be announced on the 16th of every month (for transactions from 1 to 15) and on the last day of the month (for transactions from 16 to the end of the month).
Consumers who make purchases through banks and wallets will be automatically included in the program. However, the department has stated that consumers must have their bills with them to receive the gifts. Consumers who make cash purchases must obtain a PAN and VAT bill and upload it to the department’s website to participate in the gift program.
