Nepal’s President Ramchandra Paudel has urged the country’s youth to work harder to add wisdom to their passion. Speaking at an event organised by Onlinekhabar in Lalitpur on Wednesday, President Paudel said that every generation has a role to play in shaping the country’s future.
‘The future of the country is not made by one speech, one plan or one generation. Every generation builds its own future. Now it’s your turn,’ he said. ‘I have one request – you are full of passion, but work harder to add wisdom to it.’
President Paudel also urged the youth to take the recognition they have received as a starting point for greater responsibility. ‘Take today’s recognition as a starting point for greater responsibility. Be successful yourselves and pave the way for others to move forward. Fulfil your dreams, but do not forget the big dreams that the country needs to see.’
The event was part of Onlinekhabar’s ’40 Under 40′ initiative, which aims to highlight the positive role that young people are playing in society despite various negative indicators. This is the third edition of the initiative, which was launched three years ago.
