Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Unified Marxist-Leninist General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has stated that the victims of the Janajati movement have not received a sense of real justice.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Pokharel mentioned that only a fair and impartial investigation into the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 would provide the victims with real justice.

‘A fair and high-level judicial investigation into the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 is imperative – and it should be done as soon as possible. Only then will the victims get a sense of real justice,’ he wrote.

Pokharel also stated that non-state actors are currently holding sway in the country.

‘In such a situation, it is futile to expect any positive initiative or justice from them,’ he wrote.

Pokharel reiterated the NCP’s long-standing claim that there was a conspiracy behind the Janajati movement in his post.
