Kathmandu. The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has set the maximum wholesale prices for today’s agricultural produce.
According to the committee, the prices for various fruits and vegetables are as follows: big eggplants (Nepali) at Rs 70 per kilo, big eggplants (Indian) at Rs 80 per kilo, small eggplants (tunnel) at Rs 40 per kilo, red potatoes (long) at Rs 51 per kilo, red potatoes (round) at Rs 52 per kilo, red potatoes (mudhe) at Rs 52 per kilo, red potatoes (Indian) at Rs 37 per kilo, white potatoes at Rs 35 per kilo, and dried onions (Indian) at Rs 57 per kilo.
Other prices include local carrots at Rs 120 per kilo, tarai carrots at Rs 80 per kilo, local cauliflower at Rs 40 per kilo, local cabbage at Rs 100 per kilo, red radish at Rs 30 per kilo, white radish (hybrid) at Rs 30 per kilo, long beans at Rs 50 per kilo, and dollo beans at Rs 60 per kilo.
The committee has also set prices for other fruits and vegetables, including tomatoes, cucumbers, bitter gourds, and various types of leafy greens.
In addition, the committee has set prices for fruits such as apples, bananas, oranges, and grapes.
These prices are effective for today only and may be subject to change based on market conditions.
