The Department of Weather has issued an update for today, May 27th, 2024, Chance of Rain as Cyclone Remal Partially Affects Eastern Nepal.
Current Conditions:
- Koshi Province is experiencing a change in weather with light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning occurring in a few places.
- Light rain is falling in one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati Province.
- The rest of the country is mostly clear with partly to mostly cloudy skies in the remaining hilly areas.
Afternoon Forecast:
- Partly cloudy skies are expected across the mountainous regions including Bagmati, Madhesh, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces.
- There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, a few places in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and one or two places in the remaining hilly areas.
- Light to moderate snowfall is possible at a few places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
Tonight’s Forecast:
- Koshi Province is expected to have mostly clear skies.
- Other hilly areas including Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will experience partly to mostly cloudy skies.
