A young man, Pushpes Bhata, has been abducted by a group of people impersonating police officers in Koteshwor, Kathmandu. The incident occurred on Saturday at around 3:30 pm when Pushpes was on his way to Tikathali on a motorcycle.
According to his friend, Jilap Tamang, who was with him at the time of the incident, a group of people on four scooters and a jeep surrounded them. The group claimed to be police officers and took Pushpes away, leaving Jilap unharmed.
Jilap said that the group did not harm him, but he was shocked by the incident. He added that the group did not provide any identification or explanation for taking Pushpes away.
Pushpes’ brother, Shubham Bhata, said that he had been searching for his brother since Saturday evening. He had contacted the Tikathali Police Station, Satdobato Police Circle, and Baneswor Police Circle, but had not received any information about his brother’s whereabouts.
Shubham said that he was worried about his brother’s safety and was trying to get in touch with the police to find out what had happened to him. He added that the family was in contact with the police and was waiting for any information about Pushpes.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of citizens in the capital city. The police have not commented on the incident, and it is unclear whether the group that abducted Pushpes was actually composed of police officers or impersonators.
Pushpes’ family has appealed to the authorities to find him and bring him home safely. They have also urged the police to take action against those responsible for the abduction.
