A large quantity of contraband narcotics was destroyed by the District Police Office in Dhankuta on Wednesday.
The narcotics, seized by the Dhankuta District Police Office and its subordinate offices, were incinerated on the banks of the Tamor River in the presence of representatives from the Dhankuta District Court, the District Administration Office, journalists, and local citizens.
According to Inspector Pandav Rajbanshi of the Dhankuta District Police Office, the destroyed narcotics included 1,521 kilograms of marijuana and Tramadol, as well as 1,897 tablets of Dicyclomine.
This is not the first time the Dhankuta police have destroyed a large haul of narcotics. On Ashar 26, the police had also incinerated 1,305 grams of marijuana and various tablets.
