Two individuals have been arrested in Gorakha on charges of robbery. Krishna Pariyar, 22, from Palungtar Municipality-2, and Kushal Asi, 23, from Odare, were taken into custody on Tuesday, according to the police.
The arrest comes after the two allegedly robbed Durga Asi of Odare on the night of Shrawan 5. The incident occurred around 9 pm when Asi was walking home from Harmin.
‘They stopped Asi on a public road near Panpa 2 Bhandardi Chautara, wearing black masks,’ said DSP Rajkumar Shrestha. ‘They attempted to gag him with a plastic bag and tie him up with a nylon rope, before fleeing with a bag containing Rs 170,000 in cash and other documents.’
According to DSP Shrestha, the two were arrested during an investigation into the robbery. A case has been filed against them under the charge of theft, and further investigation is ongoing.
