Nepali Congress has withdrawn from the Koshi Province government in Nepal. The party’s ministers submitted their resignations on Wednesday, following a change in the power dynamics in the province.

According to Bhim Parajuli, a Congress leader and former Minister for Tourism, Forests, and Environment, the party’s ministers were forced to resign due to pressure from the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) and the Communist Party of Nepal.

The Congress ministers who resigned include Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Pradeep Sunuwar, Health Minister Man Bahadur Limbu, Industry, Agriculture, and Cooperatives Minister Israel Mansuri, Tourism, Forests, and Environment Minister Bhim Parajuli, and Physical Infrastructure Development State Minister Shobha Chemjong.

With the withdrawal of the Nepali Congress, the Communist Party of Nepal is now expected to join the government in the Koshi Province.
