Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah has made public the quarterly progress report of his office. PM Shah assumed office on 13 Chaitra 2082. The report was prepared in accordance with Section 5 of the Right to Information Act 2064 and Rule 3 of the Right to Information Regulation 2065, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Although the report is quarterly, it only includes details of the work done in the three months of Baisakh, Jestha, and Ashar. The report includes information on the nature and functions of the office, its work, duties, and powers, as well as details of the employees working in the office. It also includes a description of the main work done by the Prime Minister’s Office.

The report mentions that from Baisakh 1 to Ashar end of 2083, 21 meetings of the Council of Ministers were held, and 384 decisions were made. During this period, eight meetings of various committees of the Council of Ministers were held, resulting in 12 decisions.

The report also mentions that the Nepal Government (Work Distribution) Regulation, 2083 has been translated and implemented. The office has also written to all ministries/agencies/commissions and local levels to implement the Zero Pending File Campaign and to submit a unified progress report.
