Nepal Government Criticized for Lack of Efficiency

Nepal’s government has been criticized for its lack of efficiency in governance. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Manish Jha expressed his concerns during a meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday.

Jha stated that the government’s plans are good, but the implementation is lacking. ‘There is no question of integrity, and there is no question of intention. But it seems that the method of implementation is not up to par,’ he said.

Jha also emphasized the need for a basic principle to guide the state’s governance and the protection of the constitution and democracy. ‘What is needed is trust in the state and confidence in the nation,’ he said.

The MP also pointed out that the country’s development is hindered by the lack of balance in society. ‘If society is not educated, politics cannot survive. If politics does not survive, democracy cannot survive. If democracy does not survive, social balance cannot be maintained, and social justice cannot be achieved,’ he said.

Jha also highlighted the importance of protecting the private sector, which he said is currently insecure. ‘The private sector is being harassed. Citizens are afraid of the police, thinking that they might be arrested or their homes raided at any time,’ he said.

The MP urged the government to create a conducive environment for the private sector to thrive. ‘Give the private sector confidence. Allow them to invest their money and create jobs. This is necessary,’ he said.

Jha also criticized the government’s handling of the recent fire in the Madhes region. ‘The fire has been brought under control, but the situation is still not normal. There is a lack of balance in the way the government treats different regions,’ he said.

The MP emphasized the need for the government to change its mindset and work towards creating a more balanced society. ‘We need to remove the black glasses and see the reality. We need to think about how to create a more balanced society,’ he said.
