Media Has a Responsibility to Identify Positive Changes and New Leadership

Analinekhbar’s Chairman, Dharmaraj Bhushal, stated that the media’s responsibility extends beyond just reporting news and providing information. He emphasized that the media should also identify and acknowledge positive changes in society and bring new leadership to the forefront of public discourse.

During an event where Analinekhbar recognized 40 young individuals under the age of 40, Bhushal noted that this initiative is not just an annual list, but also a reflection of the media’s responsibility to recognize and document positive changes in society. He added that the media should also facilitate public discussions on new leadership and their journeys.

President Ram Chandra Poudel was the chief guest at the event. Bhushal stated that the 40 young individuals recognized by Analinekhbar represent not only today’s Nepal but also the country’s future possibilities. He praised these individuals for their courage to think differently, their perseverance in the face of challenges, and their ability to turn their ideas into successes.

Bhushal explained that the list of 40 individuals under 40 is not just about age, but about recognizing people who have made a significant impact in their respective fields. He noted that despite significant political changes in the country, challenges such as unemployment, youth migration, economic crisis, and inequality persist.

However, Bhushal emphasized that a new Nepal is being built, and it is being shaped by new entrepreneurs, young people working in technology, artists, athletes, researchers, social engineers, and Nepalis who have made a name for themselves around the world.

Bhushal revealed that Analinekhbar’s team worked tirelessly for nearly four months to prepare the list of 40 individuals. He acknowledged the support of colleagues, stakeholders, and sources in selecting the final 40 names from hundreds of applications and nominations.

Bhushal committed to continuing this initiative annually, viewing it as a social responsibility rather than a commercial venture.
