Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chetanarayan Acharya has conducted a site visit to the area in Susta, Nawalparasi, where the Narayani River is causing erosion.
Chief Minister Acharya stated that the provincial government will provide support to prevent erosion and protect the land in Susta by constructing a temporary dam.
He mentioned that the provincial government will provide necessary materials, including tarps and boulders, from the Disaster Management Fund for the construction of the temporary dam.
During the visit, Chief Minister Acharya assured the project engineer of the Irrigation and Water Resources Management Project, Bel Bahadur Vishwakarma, that the provincial government will provide support for the construction of the embankment in Susta.
According to Ravindra Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Susta Bachau Abhiyan, local residents and security personnel have been working day and night to prevent erosion and protect the area.
