Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel rejects the 15-point Gaza peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu stated that the Israeli army will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas fully disarms. This statement was made during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

This comes at a time when Hamas has expressed its willingness to move forward with the plan, which has US backing. Hamas has also stated its readiness to implement the second phase of the agreement through a mediator.

However, this is contingent on Israel’s approval and the implementation of the agreement. The proposed plan includes the formation of a new Palestinian government committee in war-torn Gaza and the transfer of arms from Hamas and other groups to this committee.

In a related development, eight Muslim-majority countries, including the United Arab Emirates, issued a joint statement a few days ago criticizing Israel’s military campaign in Gaza. They expressed concerns that Israel’s military actions could hinder the implementation of Trump’s peace plan.
