A landslide in the Tatopani border area of Sindhupalchok district has damaged a border security post of the Armed Police Force.

The incident occurred at around 1:15 am on the night of Shrawan 22, when a massive landslide swept down from a hill about 200-300 meters northwest of the post.

No human casualties have been reported, but the post has suffered significant damage, with rocks and debris causing destruction to various structures within the compound.

A windowpane of the first line of the barbed wire fence has been shattered, while the wall and roof of the second line of the fence have been damaged.

Damage to Post and Facilities

One duty post has been completely destroyed, while another has been partially damaged.

The national flagpole has also been completely destroyed, and the bathroom, store building, and staircase in front of the main gate have all suffered damage.

The Armed Police Force has confirmed the damage, but has not reported any injuries or fatalities.
