KG Hospital in Dhangadhi Under Tension After Patient Dies During Surgery

A woman has died during surgery at KG Hospital in Dhangadhi, sparking tension at the medical facility.

According to the police, 50-year-old Samani Chaudhary from Krishnapur Municipality-1 in Kanchanpur district died during a kidney stone surgery on Thursday night at around 10 pm.

Inspector Kailash Vishwakarma of the District Police Office, Kailali, said that Chaudhary’s relatives have accused the hospital and doctors of negligence, leading to her death.

A large number of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel have been deployed to maintain security at the hospital.

A meeting is currently underway between the hospital administration and the victim’s family, with the participation of local representatives, including Krishnapur Municipality Mayor Hemraj Ojha.

The victim’s relatives have expressed outrage, claiming that the hospital’s negligence led to Chaudhary’s death and that they were offered a settlement of around 4-5 lakh rupees.

Additional police personnel have been deployed from the District Police Office and Ward Police Office as the crowd of relatives gathered outside the hospital.
