Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has declared a dividend to its shareholders from the accumulated profit of the previous fiscal year 2082/83.
The bank has become the first among banks and financial institutions to declare a dividend in the current fiscal year. It has announced a 9% dividend to its preference shareholders and 15% cash dividend (including tax) to its ordinary shareholders.
The dividend will be distributed to the shareholders after it is approved by the Nepal Rastra Bank and passed by the bank’s 20th Annual General Meeting.
Last year, the bank had distributed a total of 15.7895% dividend, including bonus shares and cash dividend.
The decision was made during the 419th meeting of the bank’s board of directors, held at its central office on Friday at 4 pm, according to the bank’s CEO, Dinesh Thakali.
