Uddhav Thapa, the Parliamentary Party leader, has appointed Gopal Tamang as the new Chief Whip for the Nepali Congress in Koshi Province.
Tamang, representing constituency number 1 (1) of Jhapa, secured his position in the provincial assembly through election.
Formerly held by Bhupendra Rai, elected from Khotang Region No. 1 (2), the position of Chief Whip in Koshi Congress became vacant. Following Rai’s departure, Tamang has been entrusted with the responsibilities of the role.
