Former Mayor of Kapilvastu Found Dead Three Days After Going Missing

Three days after going missing, the former mayor of Kapilvastu Municipality and Nepali Congress leader, Kiran Singh, has been found dead.

According to Kapilvastu’s Police Chief, SP Manohar Bhatta, Singh’s body was discovered in the Gorusinge jungle of Kapilvastu on Sunday.

The 65-year-old Singh had left his home in Kapilvastu-3 around 2 pm on Friday. His motorcycle, with license plate number Lu 01-013 P 7970, was found parked in the jungle area, approximately eight kilometers from the East-West Highway.

A search operation was launched, including a trained dog from the Gautam Buddha Airport, to locate Singh.
