Three officials from Parashuram municipality in Dadeldhura have been arrested on charges of assaulting the Acting Chief Administrative Officer, Krishnadev Joshi, during an executive meeting.
Arrested were Deputy Mayor Bimala Kumari Bohora, Ward President of Ward No. 7 Karna Bahadur Dhami, and Ward President of Ward No. 1 Lal Bahadur Dhami. District Police Office Dadeldhura’s Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Karki confirmed the arrests and stated that an investigation is underway.
All three arrested officials represent the Maoist Center party.
