The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has announced the suspension of Captain Pasang Sherpa, a pilot employed by Prabhu Helicopter Limited. The suspension stems from reports of unauthorized and unsafe cockpit activities during flights.
According to CAAN, Captain Sherpa allowed passengers into the helicopter’s cockpit during flights to Gosainkunda several months ago. Reports also allege the pilot engaged in other prohibited activities while operating the aircraft.
CAAN has initiated a detailed investigation into the allegations. The authority has emphasized its commitment to maintaining strict aviation safety standards and will take appropriate actions based on the findings of the investigation.
Prabhu Helicopter Limited has not yet issued an official statement regarding the matter.
