Bahrain secured a 5-0 win over Nepal in their second-round FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifier. The match played at the National Stadium in Riffa, saw Bahrain establish a decisive 3-0 lead by halftime.

Mahdi Humaidan opened the scoring for Bahrain in the second minute, followed by Sayed Baqer’s goal in the ninth. Ali Madan sealed Bahrain’s first-half dominance with a goal in injury time. Nepal’s goalkeeper, Kiran, made several crucial saves, preventing a wider margin.

Nepal, forced to play their home match in Bahrain due to an unfit stadium, suffered a further setback with an injury to leading scorer Anjan Bista. Bahrain maintained their pressure in the second half, with Ibrahim Al Khatal and Ismail Abdullatif adding two more goals. The final score of 5-0 leaves Bahrain with 6 points and Nepal scoreless after three matches.
