A truck carrying lighters, chilies, and baby diapers caught fire Saturday afternoon along the East-West Highway in Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-4. This incident occurred less than a week after a similar truck fire damaged the Karnali Bridge in Kailali, temporarily halting traffic.
District Police Office spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chand, confirmed the fire was extinguished. Fire brigades from nearby municipalities, led by Police Inspector Lilaram Acharya, swiftly responded and controlled the blaze.
Authorities are currently assessing the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
