A Tribhuvan University professor was identified as the victim of a fatal bus accident in Kirtipur.
The deceased, 42-year-old Dr. Govinda Rijal, was a professor at the Tribhuvan University under the Institute of Agricultural Studies, according to Kathmandu Valley Police Office Ranipokhari spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dineshraj Mainali.
Three others were injured in the accident. They are identified as:
- 24-year-old Dambar Panta, who sustained a right-hand injury.
- 24-year-old Bimila Shrestha, who suffered injuries to the head and face.
- 27-year-old Ramesh Lama, the bus driver, has a leg injury.
Mainali reported that Panta and Shrestha are receiving treatment at Kirtipur Hospital. The bus driver, Lama, is being treated at the Trauma Center.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
