Ujer Ali, the ward president of Maharajgunj Municipality-2 in Kapilvastu, has been apprehended by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority on charges of bribery. The arrest was made by the Butwal office team of the Authority, who caught Ali red-handed accepting a bribe of 15,000 rupees from a service client in exchange for facilitating a home delivery recommendation.
The Authority’s spokesperson, Narahari Ghimire, confirmed Ali’s arrest at the office premises. Ali is currently in the custody of the Authority pending further investigation.
