Two-year-old boy electrocuted to death in poultry farm

A two-year-old boy has died after being electrocuted by a live wire at a poultry farm in Kanchanrup Municipality, Saptari. According to police, the incident occurred on Shrawan 2, 2083, when Pratik Dhami, the son of Santakumar Dhami, came into contact with the exposed wire while visiting the farm.

The farm, operated by 44-year-old Prathamlal Dhami, had allegedly been negligent in securing the electrical wiring. Following the incident, the victim’s father filed a complaint, leading to a case being registered at the Kanchanpur Area Police Office under charges of culpable homicide.

Prathamlal Dhami, the farm operator, has been arrested and is currently under investigation. The District Police Office, Saptari, has stated that further investigation is ongoing, with the court granting an extension of the detention period.
