Three Nepalese Killed in Mahboula Coastal Road Accident, Kuwaiti Suspect Detained

Three Nepalese expatriates working for a company in Kuwait died tragically in a car accident on the coastal road near Mahboula at approximately 5 am on Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as Sujan Karki of Kathmandu Sano Bharyang, Surat Bahadur Kadayat of Panchdeval Vinayak-5 Achham, and Dhiraj Gurmachhane Magar of Dhanusha.

Premraj Gautam, First Secretary and Information Officer at the Nepali Embassy in Kuwait, confirmed the deaths. The embassy is in contact with the victims’ families and the company to initiate the process of repatriating the bodies to Nepal.

According to Raj Malla Thakuri, president of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists in Kuwait, Karki and Magar were visiting their friend Kadayat in Mahboula on Monday night. Kadayat was accompanying them to their bus stop for duty on Tuesday morning when the car struck all three, resulting in their deaths at the scene. Their bodies are currently at Farwaniya Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The Arab Times reported the accident, initially identifying two Nepalese victims and one unknown individual. It was later confirmed the third victim was also Nepalese. The driver, a Kuwaiti national, has been arrested, and a forensic examination of the bodies is underway as part of the investigation.
