Tension Rises After Youth Dies in Bhaktapur Reform Home

A youth’s death at a reform home in Bhaktapur has led to a tense situation, with other inmates alleging that he was beaten to death.

According to the Bhaktapur District Police, the incident occurred at the Utshahit Sudhar Griha in Sirutar, Suryabinayak Municipality-1.

The youth, who was being held at the reform home, died on Sunday morning at 4 am while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

However, other inmates at the reform home have accused the authorities of killing him through beatings and have staged a protest, demanding an investigation and action against those responsible.

Police have been deployed at the scene to maintain order.
