Tamil Nadu by-election counting is underway in Madurantakam and Dharapuram on October 9, 2026. In Madurantakam, TVK’s K. Maragatham Kumaravel leads with 27,460 votes, ahead of DMK’s I. Paranthamen with 18,668. In Dharapuram, TVK’s P. Sathyabama leads with 31,327 votes, followed by AIADMK’s K. Banumathi with 25,841 and DMK’s S. Suganya with 24,363.
