A devastating fire swept through the settlement of Malbanse, Taksar in Bhojpur Municipality-12 on Saturday afternoon, destroying six houses.
The fire, which originated in a nearby forest, is believed to have been fanned by strong winds, causing it to rapidly spread to the village. Homes belonging to Bishal Karki (two houses), Nar Bahadur Karki (two houses), and Padam Karki (one house) were destroyed in the blaze. An additional uninhabited house was also lost to the flames.
District Police Office Bhojpur Information Officer Dalkumar Rai confirmed the incident, stating that the fire started in the forest area and quickly engulfed the settlement due to windy conditions.
